Museum exhibition
The exhibition Album 900 e furti d’archivio (Album 900 and Archive Thefts), curated by Anna Lisa Ghirardi and Elisabetta Longari, showcases Lucia Pescador’s approach of treating her work as an open-ended project, subject to continuous additions, changes, montages, and remountings. This method is reminiscent of Aby Warburg’s approach to cataloguing.
The show features 22 large, previously unpublished sheets from Album 900, comprising fragments from various eras, alongside 23 additional papers drawn from Pescador’s extensive archive: Cartilagini (2022–2023), Croste (2022), Isole con la mano sinistra (1988), and Esercizi con la mano sinistra (1989).
These works introduce new configurations and contaminations, restoring the fluid and layered nature of the artist’s inventory.
