San Carlo Cremona inaugurates the exhibition programme of the new year with a solo show dedicated to artist Paola Pivi entitled A helicopter upside down. Pivi often uses familiar materials in unexpected ways, and here, denim – universally recognised and culturally charged – becomes the medium for a transformative encounter. Its deep blue, structured but yet pliable form creates a space of both stability and surrender.
