Philippe Malouin (b. 1982, Laval, Québec, Canada) lives and works in London, United Kingdom. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Design Academy Eindhoven (2003 – 2008), and he studied at the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris and graduated from the University of Montreal.
He worked for a few years in Tom Dixon’s studio before starting his own business in 2008. His style is based on an extreme emphasisation and stylisation of forms, taken to excess as in his famous Mollo armchair for Established & Sons or reduced to the bone as in the equally famous Arca chandelier he designed for Matter Made.
