APALAZZOGALLERY is thrilled to announce its participation in Frieze London 2024. For the new edition, the gallery presents a corpus of works by Sonia Boyce, DBE RA; Ibrahim Mahama and Nathlie Provosty.
With her participation at Frieze London 2024, Boyce DBE RA returned to her hometown art fair after 2018, when she won the Frieze Tate Fund, with The Audition (1997). On this occasion, we will exhibit two digital prints of photographs taken 1995-2024. Alongside Boyce’s works, there are artworks by Ibrahim Mahama, which consist of drawings and photographic collages that revisit one of the most recurring themes in Mahama’s art: migration and the trade of goods, along with their consequences. In contrast to the figurative nature of Boyce and Mahama’s works, there is a series of lyrical paintings by Nathlie Provosty, whose work incorporates a multitude of disciplines, including music, poetry, and literature.
